Everything about wedding cakes
I start planning and accepting orders for the following year in October. Before that, I will gladly make a note of your date. Experience has shown that with a very long lead time, a lot can still change in the wedding planning, so I only make a binding reservation for the day from October.
Please send your request by e-mail to kontakt@suesse-flora.de. Please include the requested general data such as date, location, number of people and design requirements. Of course, none of this has to be final, but even a rough number of people or a direction in which the design can go will help me with capacity planning and ensure that I can give you an answer quickly, as I don't have to ask for missing information.
We are happy to deliver cakes of 3 tiers or more, as well as set up sweet tables on site. For the delivery we charge 1,50 Euro per kilometer (there and back). Delivery is possible up to 150 km from Berlin Mitte. Otherwise by arrangement.
The unit price starts at €8.00 per person - then there may be additional costs for a more complex design, decorations such as flowers, leaf metal (silver & gold) etc. Since each cake is unique and the price depends on the design effort, I cannot offer a fixed price table, because the biggest variable factor in pricing is the working time I need and I can only estimate this once a design has been finalized.
However, to give you an idea of the costs you should expect, you are welcome to send me an example picture of a cake that you like and I can give you a rough price based on this.
This depends on when the cake is to be served and what else is served with it. If it is a midnight dessert, experience has shown that less is needed than in the afternoon as the main component of a coffee table. Depending on when you want to cut the cake, we will find the right size during the consultation.
Of course! I offer appointments for wedding inquiries from October to March/April, where you can also sample a selection. These appointments take place Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 11am to 3pm. As a rule, we get along wonderfully with one hour. You will be advised by us and can try your favorite flavor. You are also welcome to pick up a cake tasting box to go for tasting. This costs €35 and can be collected from our studio on Fridays and Saturdays by prior arrangement from 10:00 to 17:00.
We charge a flat rate of €50.00 for a consultation appointment, including tasting, which must be paid in cash at the appointment. The same applies to appointments that are not canceled up to 2 days in advance.
I like to take pictures of other cakes as inspiration and then create a new design in the Süße Flora style; however, I do not copy the work of others and ask others to respect copyright. In general, I don't make classic motif cakes and try to avoid fondant and marzipan corners wherever possible.
A lactose-free, gluten-free and vegan conversion is no problem. However, I use flour containing gluten in my production facilities. Despite the utmost care, there can always be residues of it in gluten-free cakes.
